NCCU vs HAMPTON

Heyyy what's going on?!

Today I am blogging from the road.!! I am on a bus right now on my way back to NCCU.

This weekend NCCU had their first football game against Hampton university. The student activities board organized a trip to the game and we stayed 2 nights in a hotel and visited Virgina Beach.

I have never been to a football game. In Bermuda we don't play football,we play soccer. We don't have bands either. We are just too small for all of that. So this whole experience is new to me.

We took a bus to Virginia to support NCCU, I must say the turnout was better than I had expected. We had about 7 buses: 3 for the team, 2 for the band and 2 for SAB and SGA respectively. On top of that, alumni and others rolled in. I honestly believe there were more Central supporters than Hampton supporters. The atmosphere was SOOOO hype even though I never knew where the ball was lol. Our cheerleaders were ON POINT.! And our band was even better. I lost my voice screaming and cheering on our team. I learned the NCCU chants, dances and songs (which are all hot btw - EAGLE.PRIDE).

In the end we lost the game by one touchdown, which isn't bad, but we left with our spirits HIGH.!

This was my first trip with the school and it was SOOOO much fun. I can't talk too much about it because What Happens In Hampton,Stays In Hampton =b

But I will assure you that I will be there, again, in Virginia next weekend for the game against Liberty.!
